💡

Whwt if for friendly appointment between Bitcoiner we started to use Block-Time. So like:

"Hey, I am finished woking in about 2 blocks, want to go grab a beer?"

"No today, I can't, but tomorrow around block 791270 will be at the bar."

"You are late!" "No, I am not.. look block not closed yet"

You will always have a 10 mins almost to be always perfectly"on-time " 😂⌛⛓️

I have been living my life in block height as much as possible the last year+. I'm just waiting for someone to create an app that can give me an alarm at certain block heights and a count down/up block height timer.

Yes. 👀🍀

So I contacted the dev of the amazing site/app Timechain Calendar on Twitter a few months ago (I forgot his name/username now and I'm doing #MarchOffTwitter) and asked him if he'd possibly add that to his app. He said it sounded like a good idea and he put it on his roadmap. No idea if he'll actually do it or not but it would be amazing. It's also what I use to guesstimate what block height a future date/time will be. But having that all at your fingertips would be amazing!!

PS: Having a BlockClock really helps with always being aware of the block height too.

Yeah block clock I think is also so cool as design object in every cypher punk home. Still don't have one.. but I will.

Such an amazing buy! Worth every single sat! I've had mine for quite some time now and am still as enamoured by it as the first day I got it!

LoL, come on guys this can't be serious.

NIST: Measures time to within a few millionths of a second over decades using cesium atoms.

Bitcoiners: bLoCKcHAin tEchNolOgy to measure time. (Plus or minus a couple minutes every 10 minutes.)

😂 I'm 100% serious. I live my life by block height as much as possible. For example I do a 430 block fast instead of a 72 hour fast, etc. Obviously it doesn't work for everything but whenever I can. At all times I'm aware of what block it is plus or minus a few.

Sounds amazing. After leaving fiat slavery, we can be more flexible with time, without worrying that you'll get fired if you're 1 minute late to a meeting and instead just enjoy the moment

Can you tell us more about how you use it and how you got started?

I use it mostly to mark longer periods of time. For example how long I've known somebody or when a certain event occurred. I also use it to mark my fasts. I don't use it for things like baking brownies or dentist appointments.😂

Oh, I also use it to track my sleep time. Greater than 50 blocks, I had a good sleep!
