I include Mo Gawdat in the group of AI thinkers I listen to on the daily to help with my attempt to prepare for the change that is happening. This is a great 15min overview of how he sees the next 5-15 years. https://youtu.be/knvghfpZ37o?si=kktqt3SFKw85hPQC

Seems to contradict himself. Says of we raise AI as Superman then it’ll be good. While at the same time saying AI acts on intelligence not emotions. But if the act on intelligence alone, you can get quite a bit wrong.
If you had to sum up what you learned. How would you advise someone to prepare for the change that’s coming
Not necessarily from this video, but overall so far (and just for me at my stage of life) some thoughts in no particular order.
1. Work on base level meaning (not existential type meaning). Work is going away so no “meaning” there. I’m doing this with my 4 F’s. Food, fitness, family/friends, creative focus.
2. Preparing our minds and home (wife and I) for multigenerational living until not needed (possible utopian scenario). As my adult kids will never afford homes and jobs are going away, being prepared for them returning home and multigenerational living with some or all of our adult kids and their partners is in the cards.
3. Post labor economics. The role of both money and bitcoin is not clear. We are backing ourselves with bitcoin but are keenly aware of how we move forward with our business. We may need to make big drastic decisions or changes.
4. I expect to live a lot longer than the current average. Healthcare will change (hence 4 F’s). Don’t die.
5. Currently planning for civil and economic unrest as the transition occurs.
There is probably more but these come to mind.
