Unfortunately they have only packaged it for ubuntu and there is no straightforward way to get it going on Arch linux.

I'll stay with Brave for now. It has excellent shitware and advertising and spy blocking and I've quit with sync after having it breached some months back now running keepassxc for that. Many sites are irritatingly stupid especially when setting up accounts to make saving the logins laborious but I increasingly want less and less accounts anyway.

The biggest bugbear around me at the moment is my tourist grade mobile internet, which is constantly messing with my packets and misbehaving. Just to set up a wireguard vpn, 2 eur/month cheap af and no more of their tampering affecting my traffic. Plus I now appear to be hungarian.

Nem tu dom! Itt fogyok!

Gnome/Epiphany for linux? Kinda surprised linux hasn't worked on a linux exclusive browser.

"linux" is a giant shomozzle of a mess of disparate, loosely compatible things. It's like Nostr took steroids and mutated a million times for every purpose imaginable.

Well, not saying that's entirely bad, but the web browser is also a bit of a dog of an idea as a software architecture mess. Security flaws are endlessly being found, patched, and meanwhile, a million more for every one patched are made as they continue to increase its size without making it keep its domain boundaries clean.
