In most cultures historically, children lived with or near family until marriage - often in multi-generational homes where land, resources, and care were shared.

The idea that individual self-sufficiency is a virtue is a Western invention. Hyper-individualism frames staying connected as weakness. Moving out at 18 fragments families, piles on financial and emotional strain, and locks young adults into the hamster wheel of debt.

There shouldn’t be stigma around staying or returning home. This is the modern village!

Even if your family dynamics aren’t perfect, you still have the chance to rewrite the story — and create stronger foundations for the generations to come. 🙌

Western hyper-individualism sold us the lie that leaving home = freedom. In reality, it often = debt + isolation. Multi-generational living is not weakness, it’s strength.
