One act of forgiveness to one person can generate ripples to thousands. Maybe it’s all in the receiving & how each layer chooses to view themselves (or act).

Intent probably matters.

I know people who are so dumb, that although you forgive them and put up with them, they still do dumb shit that harms you, so it is best to leave them. Leaving someone is sometimes best for everyone. I vaguely remember Buddha saying one should stay away from bad people, it is not weakness. Instead of hating them, you feel sorry for how stupid they are, but it is just impossible to help, it always gets worse if you try.

Not condoning one should put up with toxic relationships. Boundaries are importance but we can love others from afar and not like them.

Just as we can like someone and not love them … emotionally at least 🤣

Buddha says that. Bodhisattva by definition is one who has attained Nirvana but **chooses** to come back to save (insert your own definition of that)
