Went to go buy some groceries

Get everything and goto checkout

All items scanned

I give my coupons which they take

Goto use my card rewards...

New store policy.. needs manager approval. Because people share their accounts and other people are using the main account holders rewards.

Several minutes pass. Finally a manager. They check my ID and card to verify I am the card owner.

Manager then accidentally clears my rewards. Says it'll take 20 minutes to reset.

I decide not to wait as I was buying perishables and dont them sitting so long and then drive time etc. So cancel it all out.

No groceries, no coupons. No guarantee my rewards will be there for round 2.

This may be the start of my villain arc.

I would have waited the 20 min and then at the end said, hey these have been sitting here a long time they’re melting and warm because you took so long replace them for me and left them with unsalable goods.

This is probably the dumbest thing I've heard in a while. The cashier couldn't look at your license?? They do it for alcohol and tobacco but God forbid they do it for the rewards points 🤦‍♀️. I hope it gets straightened out for you 🫂🫂.
