We are facing difficult weather conditions in the southern Peloponnese this year. Mostly because it hasn't rained properly since March. Now the first winter storms already started, and the wind is ripping through a very dry landscape and vegetation.

Since we are living off grid we feel the environmental changes immediately. One of our natural springs closeby we rely on for water supply has already run dry for this year, making things a little tough. It makes us ponder and look for alternatives.

There are some promising developments in the area of generating water from humidity in the air. But they are still costly for individual use and require quite some energy input.

So, I was surprised to find this little device here - 'Quenchsea'. It can turn sea water to fresh water through reverse osmosis, just by your very own manpower and is actually affordable. It's nothing more than an emergency device, but cool nonetheless. Makes me dream of some extended wild cave camping adventure 😉🌊
