Now that I’m done playing basketball I got my Nursing Home Administrator license and putting my Business Degree from college to work. I’ve been a healthcare administrator for over a year now, and while we do get paid more than what some people think is fair (whatever that means), it’s necessary because a lot of these healthcare businesses otherwise would fail. That being said the priority has to remain the care you give to the patients. From my viewpoint, one of the biggest drains on the healthcare industry and Medicare/Medicaid in general are all the lawsuits. Nobody has a clue how much Medicare and Medicaid indirectly ends up in the hands of extremely wealthy and predatory lawyers. It’s nuts.
