I'm convinced they're cutting payroll to offset massive AI spending.

I suspect a lot of it was due to over hiring during the covid craziness. The BLS told me there would be a shortage of tech workers in the years after I graduated (lol).

I'm sad for the people who didn't have a plan B like me. I cash flowed the degree and already had a different career. Super sad.

Who need to type anymore when you can just dictate? Who needs coders anymore when you can just vibe it?
