The idea of zapvertisements is cool… but I’m having trouble seeing how it actually works long term. People will make tools that make it extremely easy to hide them. It will probably even be a competitive disadvantage for a client to NOT hide them.

Maybe it needs to be:

click a button to send an ad to a user, pay the required amount of sats the user has set, and once paid the ad shows up in our DM?

There’s no way for a company to be reasonably certain a user has seen the ad. The ability to do that is a feature of centralized systems. We have to rethink certain paradigms.

Oh I'm not saying they would stop showing up in notifications, but also in a DM so they are all organized in one spot.

I hate when large companies send me ads but would love to have a place all my zap ads I've gotten can be seen easily.

I use WoS.

Nostr Clients;

#Onyx inside and #Amethyst if it's it's sunny outside 🤣

Urls in zap notes show up as notifications in these clients.
