Nostr Web Client

I tried to build my own sovereign node[1] and failed, it’s too difficult. People shouldn’t need to know how to run servers to be sovereign.

Wow, if you couldn’t how on earth have I managed?!

I know it’s hard, I can’t code and I’ve sunk hours into Yunohost and Linux to get a home server running. My note was tongue in cheek but also there’s also so much reliance on the big platforms who are niw taking everything we ever made as fodder for LLMs and such like.

Personally I’m trying to push back in whatever way i can, even if it is only baby steps.

I just wanted a simple single-user instance but the protocol is just too complicated. Thats when I found nostr and it was smooth sailing ever since

Fair play. I still like the Fediverse a lit, made some good friends there but this place is super intersting too.

Anything is better than Zuck’s dystopian hell hole or Elno’s new toy.
