the nearly 20 year fiasco of version transition turned me off it so hard i'm really bothered about why anyone who works with bitcoin would consider it a "neutral ground"

I agree most of the new gens active devs work with whats readable by eye which is why they all use python. It's slow we need more c++ & java applications.
