Tell me about it...

Btw SeedQR is totally fine. But the compact version makes no sense. You can achieve the same grid size by a minute lowering of the EC.

Did you take a peak at bbqr for psbt? Huge gains and simple spec. It tries to keep to one frame by doing better compression with hard typing, it replays the frames because that's how cameras see, and gracefully degrades to simple hex below 4kb

I have not looked into BBQr very closely. I glanced at it months ago and remember liking some parts of the spec but not others (can't remember the details). Do any wallet coordinators support BBQr? BCUR is obviously the popular adopted standard for animated QRs and the main issues I experienced with BCUR is how complicated it was to implement and wasteful space in the QR contents (like checksums and long prefixes).

Sparrow, Nunchuk, and few more soon. Doesn't take many wide install clients/signers to be enough. Take a closer look, a lot good stuff there. SeedHammer guys also working on an Output Descriptor spec for bbqr.

BCUR is no go, terrible for hardware, lots of dependencies, over complicated for no reason, poor compression, was first mover, but doubt it will be the main standard in the future.
