I discovered this horsemint plant growing in one of my beds. I didnt plant it, so not sure how it got there. It was hard to notice among the other greenery, but the flowers opening up caught my eye. Thats the first two pics.

The third pic is my lemon balm, and it has become very prolific, popping up everywhere. I dont mind though, i like to use the leaves in tea, or sometimes just in my water for a lemony flavor. Just things i noticed while strolling in my gardens. #grownostr #gardening #permies #homesteading

Have you ever had horsemint honey? If there's a lot of horsemint in the flower mix, the honey actually has enough thymol in it to give you that cooling, minty feeling on your tongue. Not my favorite honey, but it is good for sweetening herbal teas. Some people absolutely love it.

I've got lemon balm coming out of my ears, all from a couple little starts a few years ago. It's insanely prolific.

No i have not tried horsemint honey, it sounds like something i might like.
