The other little chick hatched last night, now we have 2! Dont see any activity on the four other eggs in incubator, so this may be all, we'll see. They are chirping loudly. #chickens #homesteading

Hatching chicks is like printing your own money! Hope the others hatch as well!

Did you manually turn them? The batch we tried in an incubator that didn't turn them a few times a day had low hatch rates and the birds were weaker (plus we didn't add enough water)

Yeah, it sure is! Unlimited supply of chickens. Our incubator is very small, one that my husband used for quail eggs, so we could only fit 6 chicken eggs. But it does have an automatic turner.
