I finally got an iPhone after seeing the shitfuckery that google is up to wrt fucking over developers, if you’re going to use a walled garden you may as well use the best one and since google is a shitfest I want to see what apple is like.

Anyway, this means I can finally try out Damus.

One thing I miss from Amethyst is custom reaction emojis.

Just be sure to use Lockdown Mode. Or at least try it. It’s not for the faint of heart as it does sorta break/restrict some usability. But it makes it as secure as GOS. Also, be sure to enable the Advanced Data Protection in iCloud so your backups, photos, iMessages, etc are e2ee. And be sure Background Security Improvements is also enabled from Settings > Privacy & Security

Lockdown mode is a bitch. I have had it just not receive text messages lol. I think there is a lot of room to make it more customizable.
