Speaking of building things, it’s been over half a year since I posted this list.

Has the overall Nostr onboarding UX improved?

barely

media storage was already solved with nostr.build for ages

Still, people don’t understand they have to pay to upgrade it, and this should really be a client-integrated feature by now.

No

"no remote signing for mobile apps" -- isn't this Amber? (I mean sure you've got to get it from an 'out of band' app store, but it's there and it seems to work reasonably well)

"not understanding relays / initial relay set not working" -- As someone who's come on board this year, I've never personally had a huge problem with this... I feel like a combination of an initial set + discovery of peers' relays should bootstrap most users pretty well?

"Search and Content Discovery" -- sure, yeah, but this is kinda 'the nature of the beast' ... New users have to understand that there's not just "one" Nostr feed, like there's "one" Twitter algorithm, etc...

Amber doesn’t work on iOS, and as you pointed out, it’s not found in app stores, so most users won’t discover it for a while.

There is a big problem with initial relay sets being inadequate for broadcasting. This leads to new users not being found on many clients.

Search and discovery is just atrocious across the board.
