question.... today someone got on the train asking money for food. poverty out there has increased exponentially.
in a cashless society as we are...i do not have cash with me since 2004...if you want to give money to help how you do it?
many times these homeless people ask money but they know almost no one have cash anymore in the pocket.

I always carry an extra pack of cigarettes with me.
If I were homeless, I would want cigarettes to pass the purgatory.
I carry it not only because I can easily smoke that much, but because I never have spare change or cash - I give out cigarettes. If they have a real good pitch, I give them the entire pack. You never seen such a happy face, in fact, I get no smiles or real joy when I give them a buck or two - but they are VERY happy when I give them 5 or 6 cigarettes.

Disadvantage, might be high fees for small amount transactions on the #Bitcoin core layer. Unfortunately, there is no offline paperwallet-like transactions possible for #lightning payments.

Sats via lightning and help them download Bitrefill. Make sure to use your own phone as a wifi hotspot during this process.
thanks for commenting even though i was thinking about sats to give, those guys or i would say the majority do not have a smart phone.
also giving sats to a homeless would not help their immediate issue.
i am converted bitcoiner and if i was in the same situation the last thing i would want is sats.
i am thinking to take with me few bucks from now on to give to these people... is cold out there in uk...is though for them now until end of April
