My 9 month old son looked me straight in the eyes today and said “dad, if the government never plans to pay the $35.4 trillion federal debt and keeps adding more, then the debt means nothing, right? But our entire monetary system is based on debt… so does that mean the fiat monetary system is based on nothing?”
What should I tell him?
Even if it hurts, always tell him the truth! He seems to be a smart kid, he will appreciate that! ✌️
