Honestly, I don't think Jason took it seriously... his tweet isn't even accurate as cyberspace exists independently of bitcoin... I think he's pretty focused on his own work and not super interested in work that builds on it. Which is fine.

I think a lot more serious application needs to be applied to his theories. It's fertile ground that almost nobody is exploring.

By the way, you don’t need to bow to him just because he wrote a book. The ideas existed before both him and you. And his book was released well after you began your work.

I appreciate that. Yes, of course no bowing is necessary nor appropriate. I think he brought fresh and important ideas into the world and beyond that I don't know anything about him personally. The ideas here are what is important here, not the people.
