Do your thing, of course, but when you could walk a few more feet, smile at another human, and save 10 mins… it’s a win in my book.

Always have friendly interactions with the person I’m checking out with … it adds a nice human touch to the experience. If I’m just buying like three things, then sure, I will use self checkout but I prefer a human interaction…
