George Floyd was more than just a wife-beating, counterfeiting drug dealer; he was a pillar of South Minneapolis, respected by whites, blacks, statist liberals, and anarchists alike. Some may wonder why the death of some seemingly random, unknown black man in his prime would garner any attention at all. Given South Minneapolis's preference for rap and other anti-establishment underground rock music, it's not surprising this anti-police tinderbox was set ablaze by the mere suggestion of this widely loved man's death at the hands of the police. Not only this, but Minnesota's attorney general, a disgraced congressman sent from Minneapolis 10 years prior and a defense attorney for the regional drug cartel, intentionally withheld exculpatory evidence contrary to the media's anti-cop narrative.
