The concern is that many of us have lost any faith in either of the development teams of the two major node implementations, with one resorting to all manner of strongarming and design philosophies reminiscent of Apple, and the other literally resorting to 'think of the children.'

I for one will be not upgrading from knots 27, and exploring what the BTCD team has going on.
