For Japanese users, sending a reply feels a little formal. So even if a reply would make the context clearer, it is often posted as a simple post rather than a reply.
This is not a phenomenon unique to Nostr or Twitter, but can be seen in all text exchanges over the Internet, and it is a difficult feeling to explain a clear reason even to Japanese users.
How does the original author ever see a response?
