That might seem to be the case, but humans have such intelligence that most of them can easily handle secrets and Bitcoin. But only if they have desire to do so. So the problem is not incapability imo.

I wish I had a lot of Bitcoin! That way I could become rich! After reading “Yacht insurance cost for 30–50 ft vessels” recently, I realized yacht insurance isn't cheap either. I need to have a lot of money. https://www.yachttrading.com/yacht-encyclopedia/yacht-insurance-cost-per-year-boat-size-30-50-ft-936/

Hmm, I beg to differ. If desire alone were enough, nobody would ever say ‘I probably shouldn’t tell you this…’, but two glasses of wine and most people will spill a secret if they want to bond. Have you never told a secret?

If one cannot keep a secret, they cannot possibly hold their own keys.

It's not easy, and I have to admit that I've lost some keys along the way, but it only have made me to learn more.

Everyone who desires to NOT to be dependent to others, has to learn how to keep a secret. I believe that majority of people have this skill to learn, but sadly they're not using it.

Yes, I think self custody will be for a very minuscule fraction of responsible people like us who understand, maybe in 100+ years it’ll be more common to self custody? Today 99% don’t even know how money works yet it’s the centre of their world and they just trust it because it’s all they know. I reckon it’ll be for the same for Bitcoin. I’m so curious how the next 100 years will be. Reading Sovereign Individual at the moment and it’s talking about how the Agricultural Revolution changed humanity in so many ways…I think this next revolution with Bitcoin will be even more disruptive beyond our imagination. Crazy time to be alive, and also feel very fortunate to get Bitcoin right at the beginning!! 😃
