What are the reasons it wouldn’t be for everyone? Time? Career aspirations?

I think some folks just can’t afford to have 1 parent stay home (because life is so expensive) as well as lots of single parents. Some situations just make it impossible.

But as a parent on the back-end of the decision, there are SO MANY blessings that came through that decision. We actually got to participate in their education, knew how they were performing all the time, we’re able to make individual adjustments based on HOW THEY learn, and my wife got to mold them into the character we wanted them to have.

Not to mention we didn’t have to worry about school bullies or school violence.

We put them in homeschool extra curricular activities (sports, dance, co-Ops, etc) to round out what we were doing.

You get the point. Best decision we ever made for us.

Thanks so much for sharing this ser! Gives me a lot to think about.

From an American standpoint..

Probably.

The school system is like a tiny mind prison. Intelligent and bright children are bullied out of their interests, and the neurodivergent are seen as a behavioral issue.

Let alone checking your phone for lockdown situations and praying it’s not their school.

Amen to this!
