I keep hearing people on podcasts saying “how do you pronounce it ‘nostr’ or ‘nostr’?”
For the life of me I can’t hear the difference 😅
How do I pronounce it? I just say “nostr” and I think y’all are gaslighting

Does spanish not have a short o?
we have uppercase and lowercase variations but mostly due to inflation
What is a “short o”? Is this real?
Was literally listening to a presentation on this earlier in the week about this. Your first language basically cements cements the span of how you perceive phonemes. Arabic for example doesn't different between the /b/ and /p/ phonemes. So they'd actually struggle to differentiate the words bear and pear, while for native speakers they are completely different words and sounds.
Maybe there's a similar phenomenon going on with you 👀
Using the International Phonetic Alphabet to break down the difference in the two pronunciations:
[nostɚ] the first vowel is o as in stone
[nastɚ] the first vowel is a as in father
THE NOSTR 🤪
No_stir
Tomato tomato / potato potato.
I just say nostr. HaHa
That was Zathras. I am Zathras
Mostly I say “nostr” but sometimes I say “nostr” 🙉
Naw-str…
