What's the best way to embed and auto-play a 50MB video on a website, without using Youtube and without heaving to load the entire video everytime you visit the page?

Trying to figure out a good way to show the NoGood Radio background animation on the homepage. It's currently loading a YT private video, but would LOVE to move away from YT. #asknostr

Saw this when I was logging in to my Cloudflare account this morning actually... https://www.cloudflare.com/en-gb/products/cloudflare-stream/

There are countless video players out there which can be integrated to your website.

The problem is the server side. Your server needs the ability to stream the video file to the client.

So you would like to cache the video / data client-side?

Or is your question about integrating a YT alternative which does not load the complete video file on each page visit?

Like what nostr:npub1l5aav5te8q0hd68cazvjt6968kmd8wdzu6lvg238a08djlx9yzjs4vmxm7 said, there are plenty video players out there with their own pros and cons.

You could also build something on your own pretty easy with https://www.media-chrome.org/ for example.

Save as a gif and upload to nostr.build (may need a creators account)

Perhaps PeerTube would work for you? WebTorrent is pretty magical. I wish we used it in Nostr. https://joinpeertube.org

Yes! PeerTube is cool! I'm also using (I'm running my own instance, but it's quite heavy on resources) it to embed my own video's on certain websites.
