The US has no chance of repegging the dollar, definitely not to Bitcoin and no-one will trust them on a gold standard. USD will remain fiat and force their Western allies to maintain it as reserve in exchange for defence whilst the rest of the world splits off to gold-backed currencies and a smart few will leverage Bitcoin to hedge between systems.
