Managed a nice little walkway. Only a 150’ 200 year old oak. No big deal. Everything is fine. 🫠

Oof, hope no major damage. A year or two of firewood at least.

Loads of firewood for sure. I have more than 15 just like this down on the property. This one took out the carport, bored well head, and a brick wall. A right mess.

Ouf

Yeah.. hot mess. That root ball is close to 12’ tall. The tallest branch there is close to 75’. She was massive.

I’ll remember this one falling for as long as I live. The sound and feel was unreal and unexplainable.

Not everyday a giant falls

and thank goodness too. On the bright side (and quite literally) much more sun for the gardens.

We lost a similar age/size one here. The leaves and acorns look so healthy and it's sad to see it come down. Also, a lot of work (and eventually a lot of boards and firewood - but I'd much rather have the glory of the tree!)

We’ve taken its loss much harder than the damage to the house.

yes, I can imagine. You can repair the house
