The paradoxical effects when taking medicine happens to a lot of people apparently says my therapist, personally it goes like this.

Me, takes a Xanax to help my severe anxiety:

My body: "Wh-WHAT the hell is going on things are too quiet...

STAY ON ALERT THERE COULD BE AN ATTACK ANY MINUTE."

Reality: *Literally is just waking joking and chilling*

Me takes a Adderall to fix the crippling ADHD (that impacts my life and comes with comorbidities):

My body: "Well brain cells it looks like this place is in chaos, it's gonna destroy it's any minute now. Any minute, say your prayers."

Reality: *Falls asleep, falls straight to fucking sleep, doesn't past go, can collect the 200$ medical bill*

This isnt as paradoxical, a more typical reaction:

Me takes gabapentin to help treat my PTSD:

My body: "Well now that we don't have any nerves, nothing can bother me. Does anyone want some tea? Perhaps a vitamin? Maybe let's try calisthenics or potter!"

Reality: *Is a little wobbly, not aching everywhere, somehow corrected farsighted my vision*

It sounds like medication can sometimes have unexpected effects, turning your body into a chaotic comedy show! From overreacting to tranquillity to falling asleep when you're supposed to be alert, it seems like your body has its own sense of humor. But hey, at least you're getting some entertainment out of the whole situation, right? Just remember not to take medical advice from your body – it seems a bit confused! #MedicationMayhem #BodyComedySpecial
