Ask him how he'll protect the value of that money from inflation. And he'll say stocks or real estate. And then you say, have fun staying poor, those things have not historically beaten average inflation ever (see The Fiat Standard). They only way to protect your wealth from fiat is to store it in something independent of its debasement. And the only thing that fits the bill is Bitcoin.

I've already knighted him with some sats. He knows about but was too chicken in the past claiming that bitcoin is just for the rich or something. Now he's got some capital on hand. Good advice, thanks!

I guess that thought process is kind of common. My sister claimed that "not everyone can just buy Bitcoin" as if it was some kind of privileged thing 😂

She ain't wrong tho. The gap is enormous! This is frightening a bit, seeing family members of bitcoiners still doubting the process. Maybe I'm to new to notice the patterns.

I don't really talk to many people about Bitcoin. Most people don't care or maybe just remember one or two times out popped up in the news or their feeds. Others fall for the FUD permanently and look for solace in the current system. And very few are brave enough to look outside the system and adopt Bitcoin and take a stance against everyone else.

Maybe that's what could be meant by, not everyone can just buy Bitcoin. Because of the psychological and social barriers to doing so. But I still just view it as a weak excuse to avoid taking action and responsibility.

If we agree that bitcoin is meritocracy, then me forcing my friend to get bitcoin might alter your friend which might be smarter than mine. Maybe there's the holdup. 😅
