How long can a lightning node be offline before channels are closed?

My hardware died and I've got new stuff on the way but don't want to get force closed.

Mine was forced closed after down for 24 hours depends I suppose

Oh god. Fuck me.

For another example, I had my node down for a few weeks once and every one of my channels made it.

Welp this is hopeful lol. Fingers crossed. Hardware is on the way.

Depends on your channel partners. Are you able to message any of them to give them heads up? Offline channels lock up precious capital and a good node operator will eventually force close them. There is also the risk of losing funds to either a malicious node partner, or if your channel partners suffer a failure and neither of you has a channel backup to recover the funds. The quicker you get back online the better.

One is Zeus and I forget the other one. I'm running AlbyHub. I have a backup. Idk how to contact them

It's not the end of the world, but definitely a lesson learned if they do close.

Stupid second hand NUC puttered out on me. OF COURSE

Well I am one happy camper! Channels are ALIVE I SAY, ALIVE!

Thank you nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 and Megalith for not force closing me.
