Instead, now I had to sell the sats, incurring the taxable event, and having to plan my lots for that. It's whatever.
Saving in Bitcoin has afforded me SO much more than I could have done if I saved in fiat or stocks. Im was able to put money down on a house, enough to make the mortgage very manageable, and also purchase a pretty new car. It's amazing when the purchasing power of your money goes up instead of down.
TLDR: yes sold some sats to buy the car outright.
