My wife has a terrible habit of smash buying on Amazon without checking the cart. She'll add the thing she needs and click checkout (guessing 1 click?) We get random packages that nobody is aware of and then she realizes that was in the cart...

Thing is, I sometimes use the cart as a bookmarking mechanism and bookmark all sorts of stuff that I don't plan on buying....

So... yeah ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Use the โ€œWishlistโ€ to add your dream stuff. Keep the cart empty

NEVERRRRRRR!

Then HFSP. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Incorrigible ๐Ÿ˜‚

You're the problem. lol Amazon has lists for this. I had this same issue with my wife. Carts are for shit you plan to buy. It makes no sense for me to have to remove all of the bookmarked crap so I can checkout, especially since that defeats the original intent of bookmarking the items.

So I just created a list called Wife Shit and she throws it on there instead of the cart. Funny that we had this exact same issue. ๐Ÿ˜‚

In summary, your wife is using the cart correctly. You're the one with the terrible habit here.

NOPE!

Karnage Karnage... You disappoint me. A UX/designer type too.

Of course, you could also have separate accounts, but my wife and I settled on just using the lists and cart properly.

The "save for later" button on items in cart helps to alleviate that somewhat.

you know you love it...

No not really lol. I keep having to return stuff.

Oh yea, 1 click was known as a historical game changer for them when web payments were even more difficult (still are)

Don't put it in the cart just open each item in a new tab.

This is actually pretty genius

Time to create your own personal list big dawg!

Why donโ€™t you just have two separate accounts? But answer is to use lists instead of shopping cart for bookmarking.

Use wishlists instead! ๐Ÿ™‚

there's literally a bookmarking mechanism on amazon that isn't the cart. this is your fault
