😂🤣🤣😂 Yeah, no. Notice hiw it doesn't list the price, just has a vague "less than $10 per month" How much less? $9.99 less or $0.01 less?
I'm already paying less than $10 a month AND it's self-hosted with only a copy of the encrypted backup getting stored by a 3rd party (google).
Let's do the actual math: $20 (google drive) + $25 (safe deposit box) = $45 per year / 12 months = $3.75
That's $3.75 per mont for 1) sovereign self hosting 2) two full off-site backups + 1 on-site external drive backup + multiple indirect backups wherever I choose to live-sync the cloud data locally.
That's a LOT of backup redundency PLUS self-hosted sovereignty + the abiliy to multi-purpose that server box for other things for free.
How much are you gonna pay me to get rid of all those benifits?
If I didn't care about self-hosting and redundency I could have just stayed with only google drive ($20/year = $1.66/month)
