Got told today that bitcoin was too risky because the internet was going to break. Apparently no one maintains the infrastructure or knows how it works. #AUStriches

and the internet breaking won't affect other systems?

at least bitcoin is just maths. if the internet breaks, we might all be dead but at least a future civilisation will be able to learn mathematics and start hashing with a stick in the sand
