I mounted a Vortex red dot on my 12 gauge Mossberg today. It's intended for bear defense around camp. It was easy to mount, it sits nice and low and it looks like a solid unit. I have high hopes for it. I will go to the range and test it out tomorrow and let you all know.

It's more than a little ridiculous that a firearm accessory comes with a warning sticker about not eating the battery.
