one of the main reasons there are a lot of public goods that will never become commonplace in america is because of lack of ethnic/ racial homogeny
(even tho there’s enough capital to execute)
i love diversity, that’s partially why i stay in nyc, but just interesting to observe

The public goods are in most developed countries. It’s part of why I moved to Aotearoa New Zealand.

There’s probably a bit more to that - things like political “stability”, cultural collectivist values. public policy, bureaucratic efficiency etc…
