It's such a weird dynamic.

On the Core side, what is the argument against Knots?

That it doesn't 100% guarantee spam mitigation? That's just comp sci pedantry -- some rules are meant to balance or nudge; not guarantee the elimination of behavior.

That you might be stupid if you run Knots? Oh sweetheart, please tell me that you understand bitcoin culture well enough that you know telling a pack of rabid defiant-personality-disorder conspiracy-prone go-hards they are stupid is guaranteed to yield the opposite intended effect.

Knots is revitalizing people's interest in running nodes, and IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE that it DOESNT ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF INTENDED NODE OPERATION, THEN WHAT IS THE NET HARM OCCURRING HERE?

Usually I see some disingenuous free market case for block space.

Have your free market; my hardware, my rules. #runknots

Okay but what are their PRACTICAL arguments? How is this going to hurt the Bitcoin network in a non-philosophical way?
