is it so hard to find an API for calculating my adjusted cost basis (ACB)/“average buy price” of my #bitcoin, even when the coins are sent off to cold-storage/#coldcard?

unless you’re storing all your coins on an exchange or a ledger/trezor, you’re SOL since all current tax software simply tracks TXs if the coins are sent off

I’m not planning on selling, but I’m gonna want to know what my average buy is at when hyperbitcoinization happens

Use Ghostfolio on nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct. Manually need to enter the transactions/upload a file with that data, but that info stays on your own server and gives you all the info on that you are looking for.
