This may be a silly question .. how do I get hold of Liquid Bitcoin? I had a look at Boltz, but that seems to be specific to LN-BTC and BTC. Other than Sideswap, what else is there?

On the other hand, on bitfinex it is free to switch between BTC, L-BTC and LN-BTC.

You can also have your own Liquid node (Elements) and create your own L-BTC from your BTC, which is called peg-in.
The peg-out which is to convert L-BTC to BTC has to be executed by the federation, in this case sideswap.io is useful.
