Yep… whether I am looking at budget hotels and flights to Rome or even the Bahamas the total always somehow mysteriously comes out to $10,000 USD … but I calculate everything, meals, transit, museums, taxes, insurance miscellaneous. Luckily my kids would rather go camping and kayaking in nearby Algonquin Park which costs us maybe $100 in gas.
