Informal poll: do you want to see the original translated text next to the translated one or … would you rather only see the translation with an option to reveal the original?
Personally, Im in the 2nd camp: show translation only and tap to show original. Having 2 texts side by side throws off the scroll flow for me and I tend to skip those notes often as a habit.
Depends on whether or not I know the original language enough to understand the basic structure of the sentences. If I do, the first. If I don't, the second.
It would just say “translated from x”

2nd camp for me also
I'm also camp 3 - don't automatically translate but offer the option. Many of us can read multiple languages and do not need everything in English
