I think Trump is about to learn that having "trade deficits" whereby the world sends America real stuff in exchange for fake paper money is GOOD for America

I predict this will be a wake up call when you can no longer get raw materials at slave wage prices

Lol raw materials are not at slave wage prices in US.

Many are - pretty much entire EV and battery industry runs on slave labor

But you're right not everything

So then to your point, maybe tariffs on slave-labor materials will reduce the occurence of slave labor. This is a good thing, right?

For example, EV buyers are complicit in supporting child slave labor.

Yes, it's good for slave laborers

But bad for consumers who want cheap EVs

And many other products too, shrimp and vanilla are also examples

I'd like to see free market priced EVs πŸ“ˆ

Fuck those child slaves, I want an EV and vanilla and shrimp.

I'm not the problem. Those who stand against slavery are the problem.

A society that lives on the sea and can’t feed its people is doomed. - common quip used to describe the downfall of Rome

At some point we have to be able to produce for ourselves.

But we closed down our REAL factories in the process.
