There’s some truth to this. Lightning has the ability to 100x transaction capacity but it’s only an intermediate step towards cheap and fast self custodial payments. More needs to be done to develop a final model which can support 8B users.

Nah hes not entirely off base. Lightning works but it isnt the end all be all solution its nade out to be.
