I have noticed this streak of personality in bitcoin. They end up looking like the only reason they wanted to be successful was so they can get away with abusing, insulting, and discouraging people who go anywhere near their turf. Samourai did it. Carvahlo does it.

And the venal influencers are happy to help them whenever they need to sell a new product or rehab their reputation in the community.
