I didn't finish them at all. Lost interest somewhere around the middle I'd guess. I love some good fantasy, this missed me. Anyway enjoyed them way more than the show. Ad sex scene: he's supposed to seduce her unexpectedly nicely and slowly, giving her time to adjust and respecting her, on tv it's animalistic rape for some dumb reason.
I never understood that change from the book either. It made Drogo much less of a complex character. Disappointing!
The show definitely overdid it with the sex scenes in the first few seasons. For sure! And did you enjoy the books?

I liked the Wonder Woman movies and The Suicide Squad (the one with Idris Elba), but the rest have been painful. We don't need a ten minute slo-mo action scene every five minutes 🙄.
Actually, I did see The Suicide Squad. I forgot that was DC. I've never seen the Wonder Woman movies, but Gal Gadot was a perfect fit for that role.

Agreed, she did a great job in both movies I think.
That's the issue I have with so many movies these days. Good quality storytelling has taken a backseat to CGI and aesthetics.
