My guess is most bitcoiners knew well before they went down the rabbit hole that dollars are just pieces of paper - they only have value because you trust that they have value.

Kids can understand this, but they have to be coached up and to get it. I’m thinking of both teenagers and 80 yr olds in my life, and all the ages in between, who would need some serious coaching on why this is true.

And even the teenage who drives and can’t pay for most things they want/need with cash might struggle to buy into it.
