I’ve noticed two general patterns of users on Nostr:
1) Embraced nostr immediacy and engage quickly
2) Twitter pros, make a note and never check replies or reply. Engagement is not priority to them.

I sometimes don’t have anything to say to comments so I move on.
It could be that I lost the notification too as I tend to get many.
Other times I have nothing positive to say so I choose not to say anything - as to not escalate things.

Haha sometimes I do ignore them. Because I have a lot that I can say but I just choose not to bother.
Bitcoiners are very opinionated folks so it’s easy to find something to disagree with. I probably disagree on many issues with everyone here but if I choose to keep talking about it, there’s gonna be no one left to talk to. Better to focus on shared values and avoid the rest.
I also mute a lot and sometimes just get busy with kids. Could be a combination of any of those things. Or just lazy to reply on mobile.

Some people are also too predictable. They don’t have to say much to understand their worldview, what they will say next and the arguments they’ll make to defend their statements. You can sort of just play it out in your mind and realize there’s no point in going through all of that.

I try to reply or zap my replies. Sometimes I miss them in my notifications tab 😱
I am definitely number 1 though. This has been the most exciting social discovery. I never felt this excited about any of the old social platforms 💯
Agree, the level of engagement here is 100x compared to Twitter. Both in terms of sheer amount but also quality. It's been so rare to get people here on nostr that are clearly trying to pick a fight.
It's completely possible to have nuanced conversations here on complex topics without it devolving into a screaming match. It's amazing. I hope it never changes.

Major part is by design it does not get rewarded on twitter or other social platforms rage engagement is a good way to get seen for now try that here and you end up in the void.

But yeah I’ve had much better conversations on a broader array of topics in my months on nostr than years on Twitter or Reddit
1. But my notifications often doesn’t show. I definitely need that to function like notifications on other apps by showing with a red dot with a number on the app at the Home Screen.
Works well on Damus with #onlyzaps (removes likes) and easy to follow. Not sure how well it’s done with other clients! 🐶🐾🫂
Definitely 1. I’ve had a Twitter account for many years but never really bothered to try and get any sort of following and I rarely post or comment as I get very little meaningful engagement. I post and engage here because people seem legitimately more interested in genuine interactions and there is nowhere near the same level of negativity and personal attacks that I see on Twitter.
